Manifesto for Agile Research

Draft proposal by Xavier Amatriain. Please contribute your ideas by emailing xavier at amatriain dot net or joining the Agile Research LinkedIn group.
Most of the ideas behind Agile Research are summarized in this blog post

We are uncovering better ways of doing
research by doing it and helping others do it.
Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Real-world working solutions over comprehensive theories
Commitment and response to social needs over obtaining grants, patents, or publications
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on
the right, we value the items on the left more.
